Jess Dennard

Mr. Jessup Michael “Jess” Dennard, age 26, of Deepstep died Thursday, January 3, 2013, in Augusta. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 6th, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in the Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery in Deepstep. The Rev. Chad Waller will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dakota Larimore, Ryan Chambers, Brandon Cowart, Matthew Keyes, Christopher Jones and Dwight Boyd.

Mr. Dennard was a native of Washington County. He had been a store stocker for Wal-Mart. Mr. Dennard was a member of the Deepstep United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Hannah Harris and his great-grandmother, Ruth Hannah Turner.

Survivors are: his fiancée, Katelyn Osborne of Augusta; his daughter, Isabella Rayne Dennard of Augusta; his mother, Polly Harris Phillips of Sandersville; his father, Darryl Phillips of Sandersville; a brother, Corey Mitchell Vandiver of Greensboro; and his grandfather, Hugh Harris of Deepstep.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon on Sunday.
