Mrs. Jessica Lynn Hines, age 42 of Wrightsville passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville with burial at Downs Church of God Cemetery. Reverend Fred Garrett will officiate. Pallbearers will be Christopher Hines, Brian Garrett, Curt Edwards, Eddie Braswell, Brantley Hines, Dylan Shepard, Chad Woods, and Mike Woods. Honorary pallbearers will be Herman Price, Chris Ricks, James Barber, Jamie Bridges, Lanier McCoy, AJ Alligood, and Kyle Woods. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hines was born in Savannah, the daughter of the late Reverend Donva Hines and Mary Frances Hines. Jessica was known for her love of singing and having a good time. She also enjoyed crafts, working with the public, and the occasional nap. Above all else Jessica loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Timothy.
Jessica is survived by her daughters, Karlee Woods Grant and her husband Dustin, of Wrightsville, Morgan Woods of Sandersville, and Piper McCoy of Wrightsville; son, Layton Woods of Wrightsville; grandson, Timothy Korbin Grant; granddaughter on the way, Jessi Lynn Grant; mother, Mary Frances Hines of Wrightsville; sisters, Darlene Garrett and her husband Fred of Sandersville, and Holly Barber and her husband Jason of Wrightsville; brothers, Don “Bud” Hines and his wife Teresa and Paul Hines and his wife Carolyn, both of Sandersville; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will be at the home of Paul Hines 240 East Lake Drive, Sandersville.
