Mrs. Jewel Louise Jackson, age 86 of Kennesaw, formerly of Sandersville, died on Friday, November 12, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family. A private family graveside funeral service will be held on Monday at Sisters Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Jackson was a native of Washington County, the daughter of the late Ernest Jewel Tompkins and the late Louise Hood Tompkins. She was married to the late William Allen Jackson on April 6, 1958 at Sisters Baptist Church. Mr. Jackson passed away in August of 2001. She made her home in Kennesaw with her daughter and her family following the death of Mr. Jackson. She was a member of the Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta where she was the director of the Lydia Sunday school class and a member of the caring connection. Mrs. Jackson was a former seamstress for Royal Manufacturing Company and a wonderful homemaker. She was an avid Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldog fan.
Survivors are her daughters, Janet Jackson Patterson and her husband Al of Kennesaw and Donna Jackson Scott and her husband Thomas of Harrison; grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Scott Lavin and her husband Stephen, Allanna Marie Scott Harrison and her husband Kevin, Thomas Scott, Jr., Jennifer Taylor, Raymond Allen Patterson and Michael Eric Patterson; step grandchildren, Brianna Smith, Allison Taylor, Gracie Taylor and Jacob Taylor; great grandchildren, Jackson Lavin and Madelynn Lavin; three great great grandchildren; and her faithful companion, Melly, the cat.
