Mr. Jimmy C. Clements, age 83, of Sandersville, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, following an extended illness. A graveside funeral service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, July 19th at 10:00 a.m., in the Graham Memorial Nazarene Church Cemetery in East Dublin, Laurens County. Reverend Danny Thomas and Mr. Howard Darsey will officiate. Pallbearers will be Clint Durden, Brandon Mimbs, Keith Ware, John Mark Thomas and Gayner Durden. The Clements family will receive friends Saturday following the graveside service.
Jimmy Carlton Clements was born and raised in Laurens County, son of the late Reverend Felton Clements and late Mintie Moorman Clements. He graduated from East Laurens High School and began his working career for J.P. Stevens Company. Jimmy was known as a hard worker and worked in many different professions in his life. He was a real estate agent for Curry Reality and property manager for Carl Gillis Properties. Jimmy possessed a passion for farming. Jimmy and Nancy retired to Sandersville, where he held additional jobs and was an active member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Sandersville and sang in the church choir. Jimmy loved music and enjoyed singing with different groups at numerous venues. He was often known for making people smile and telling jokes and stories.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Nancy Mimbs Clements of Sandersville; children, Jill Kersey Pagan (Jimmy) of Harrison, Mitchell Kersey (Josh) of Macon, Carla Clements Powell, Alan Clements (Christy), Lori Clements Sears (Hu) all of Dublin and Mitchell Guthrie (Martha) of Tuson Arizona; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and siblings Miriam Kight of Dublin and Jerald Clements (Barbara) of Loganville.
