James Perry “Jimmy C” Crismond, age 62, of Sandersville, died Sunday, November 10, 2019. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, November 13 th at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church in Sandersville. Reverend Cecil Cook will officiate. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Jimmy C. was born in Christiansburg, Va. and reared in Blacksburg, the son of the late Harry Crismond and the late Dorothy Reed Crismond. At an early age, Jimmy cultivated a lifelong love of music. He began his musical career as a drummer prior to being a road manager for several bands. Jimmy also produced records before beginning work as a sound engineer, work he continued until his death. Jimmy also formerly owned and operated Jimmy C’s Body Shop and worked for Precision Body Shop and the Diesel Depot. He was a member of First Christian Church where he used his professional talent as the church's sound engineer. Above all, Jimmy loved his family and friends, especially his granddaughters.
Survivors are his wife, Angie C. Crismond; children, Ashley C. Skipper and her husband Troy and Nickolas Crismond and his significant other Anna Mathews all of Sandersville; granddaughters, Mia Skipper, Harley Skipper and Georgia Rain Crismond; his sister; Ruth Ann Crismond of Christiansburg, VA.; and special friend, Chris Biggs.
The family will be at the Skipper residence on East Church Street in Sandersville.
