Jimmy Crooms

Mr. Jimmy Crooms, age 76, of McDaniel Drive in Sandersville, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at his residence.  A graveside memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, December 13th at 11:00 a.m. in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville.   Reverend Bobby Williford will officiate.

Jimmy was born in Milledgeville, the son of the late Singleton Crooms and the late Eula Mae McAdams Crooms.  He was reared in Sandersville and graduated from Washington County High School.  Jimmy proudly served his country in the Marine Corps serving in Viet-Nam.  He returned to Washington County where he began a career in the Kaolin Industry working for AICC and lastly Imerys.  Jimmy loved hunting and visiting the firing range.  He was an avid weightlifter for much of his life.

Survivors include his cousins, Billy McAdams of Savannah, Betty Jean Durshimer of Augusta, Charles McAdams of Dublin, and Larry McAdams of Milledgeville; and close friends Jody and Shelia Evans of Sandersville.
