Mrs. Joan McNally Smith, age 70, of Sandersville died on Saturday, July 9, 2022 in a Macon hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M.
Thursday,
July 14th at May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville, with burial in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Reverend David Walters will officiate.
The
family will greet friends at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. Thursday until the hour of service. Pallbearer's will be Brayden Walters, Fred Crawford, Cade Walters, Ellis Douglas and Scott Moore.
Mrs. Smith was a native and life long resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Lloyd Carlton McNally and the late Joan Kingery McNally. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clinton Smith and her two sons, William Clinton Smith, Jr and Jason McNally Smith and a deceased niece, Dawn McNally. Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Washington County High School and Georgia College, with a degree in Home Economics. She was a homemaker and a member of the Tennille United Methodist Church.
Survivors are her brother, Carl McNally of Lawrenceville; her daughter, Kathleen McKinley of Massachusetts; a sister in law, Judy Bender McNally; and nieces, Carla Czentnar and Elizabeth Walters.
The family suggest donations be made to the Tennille United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 265, Tennille, Georgia 31089.
May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
