John B. Brantley, Jr.

John B. Brantley, Jr., "Benny", age 86 passed away on October 27, 2026 at Washington County Extended Care Facility following a valiant battle with cancer.

Mr. Brantley was born on Feb. 14, 1940 in Laurens County to John B. Brantley, Sr. and Linnie Dell Powell Brantley. He lived most of his life in Harrison. He graduated from Tennille High School in 1958. He served in the United States Army in Germany. Mr. Brantley in addition to his parents was predeceased by a brother James Gordon Brantley. Mr. Brantley was a charter member of Good Shepherd Nazarene Church where he served many years on the church board. He Retired from Imerys Kaolin Co. after almost 40 years of service.

Mr. Brantley is survived by his wife of 64 years Phyllis Davis Brantley, Sons Andy Brantley (Tommie Rowe) of Knoxville, TN and Rob Brantley of Tennille, GA. He is also survived by his grandchildren Josh Brantley (Charlsea) of Hendersonville, TN. Caleb Brantley (Bianca) of Durham NC, John Brantley (Ashley) of Lincolnton, Ga. And Brittney Morgan (Troy)of Sandersville, Ga. Great grandchildren are Owen Brantley, Wyatt Brantley, Amelia Brantley, Erik Brantley, Charlie Grace Brantley, Ella Kate Brantley, Lexi Morgan, Raylee Morgan and Connor Morgan. And several nieces.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Pruitt Hospice, Washington County Extend Care Facility and Nightengale Services for all the love and care they have shown over the last several months.

A celebration of life memorial will be held at a later date.
