John Michael Chapman Jr.

John Michael Chapman Jr., age 26, of Sandersville, died Sunday, October 18, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:00pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Roy Smith will officiate.

John Michael was born in Richmond County and was a life long resident of Washington County. He was entering the transportation industry as a truck driver at the time of his death. John Michael was an avid golfer and proud father of his three children. He was predeceased by his Grandfather John H. Chapman.

Survivors include his wife Jessica Jennings Chapman and children John Michael Chapman III and Lily Chapman of Augusta, and Jackson Baley of Dublin, his father John Michael Chapman Sr. of Sandersville, his mother and father Angie and Ray Houston of Dublin, siblings Rob, Charlotte and Dalton Houston, and grandparents, Betty L. Chapman of Sandersville, Annette Sullivan of Brunswick and Gene Davis of Louisville.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 7pm prior to the funeral service.
