Dr. John R Clements

Dr. John R. Clements, age 70, of Laurel Drive, Sandersville, died peacefully at his home Thursday, January 21, 2021 following an extended illness.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

John was born and reared in Douglas, Georgia, the son of the late John Rufus Clements Sr. and the late Bessie Daniel Clements. Following graduation from High School, he attended Augusta University where he graduated with a degree in Biology.  John was accepted to Dental School at the Medical College Georgia from where he graduated in 1978.  That same year, John opened his dental practice in Sandersville where he faithfully served the people of Washington County until his retirement in 2010.  While in practice he was a member of both the Georgia and American Dental Associations.  In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by a sister, Glenda C. Gray.

Survivors include his wife, Sheri Smith Clements; sons, Michael Aaron Clements and Charles Clements both of Sandersville; stepdaughters, Courtney B. Tollison and her husband Will of Sandersville and Kirby B. Holmes and her husband Lance of Dublin; seven grandchildren; sister, Patricia C. Noblett of Macon; and brother-in-law, Tony Gray of Gray.
