John Vinson Fordham

Mr. John Vinson Fordham, age 69, of Adrian, died Friday, January 31, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 3rd, at 2:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Washington County Memorial Gardens. Reverend Danny Thomas and Reverend Gary Mimbs will officiate. Pallbearers will be Joshua Fordham, Freddy Davis, Jonathan Douglas, Barry Davis, and Richard McKee. Mr. Fordham was born in Macon the son of the late Charles Fordham and the late Lizzie Veal Underwood. He was a retired employee of Lapp Insulator Company and he was an Army Veteran of Vietnam. Mr. Fordham was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors are his children, Vinson Fordham and Elizabeth Fordham Douglas both of Gibson and Phyllis Fordham of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Joshua Fordham, Jayla Fordham, Dana Douglas Jaksch, and Jonathan Douglas; one great- granddaughter, Kaylee Jaksch; and his brother Walter Davis of Sandersville. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, P. O. 801, Sandersville, GA 31082.
