John Chiurri, Jr

Mr. John Chiurri Jr., age 63, of Sandersville Georgia, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at his residence.  A graveside memorial service celebrating John's life will be held on Monday, October 3 at 11:00 A.M.  in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville.  Reverend Mike Jones will officiate.  The family will greet friends following the graveside service.

John was born and raised in Leominster, Massachusetts, where he graduated school and began his working career. Traveling with his work brought him to Georgia, where he remained living in Thomson and Sandersville. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver for C.T. Harris Inc. and later with Boral Brick Company in Augusta from which he retired. John was known for great sense of humor and for his joke telling.  He loved the outdoors, operating his tractor and cutting wood. Grilling, hunting, and fishing were some of his favorite things to do. John is predeceased by his beloved wife, Bonnie Ann Riner Chiurri and his father, John Chiurri Sr.

Survivors include his son, Johnathan Elijah Chiurri of Greenville, SC.; mother, Rita Beaupre Chiurri of Leominster MA.; siblings, David Chiurri, Mark Chiurri (Jesse), Christopher Chiurri (Karen), Donna D'Apolito (Martin) all of Leominster, Joy Chiurri of Winchendon, and Patty DeFranco (Ed) of New Jersey; stepchildren, Phil Brown III (Karrie) and Charlie Brown all of Warthen; and brothers-in-laws, Russell Riner (Faye) and Bob Moore all of Sandersville.
