John Dennard Miller

John Dennard Miller, 94, died on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from complications resulting from a fall. Born in Gordon, Georgia, he was the son of the late Goodwin Hart Miller and Avis Dennard Miller. Mr Miller was a member of the Tennille United Methodist Church. He was also a 33 Degree Mason.

Mr. Miller’s professional career began with P. W. Martin Clays in Gordon then moved on to Burgess-Washington Clays in Sandersville, Georgia, and finally, with Thiele Kaolin Company. Dennard spent 48 years working in the kaolin industry.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Hazel Muggridge Miller, two brothers and his grandson, Scott Miller.

Surviving are two sons Jerry L. Miller (Margaret) of Savannah, Georgia, and John D. Miller, Jr (Sandi) of Merritt Island, Florida, and grandchildren and great grandchildren David, John, Joseph, Samantha, Nathan, Cathy, Michael and Nicolas.

A private graveside service for family will be held on December 15th.
