John Michael Todd

Mr. John Michael Todd, age 45 of Warthen, died on March 27, 2021. A funeral service to celebrate Michael’s life will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Mitchell City Cemetery. Pastor Weston Williford will officiate. Pallbearers will be Doug Hadden, Jamey Hadden, Ben Hadden, Clay Walden, Greg Johnson, Mark Brown, Jimmy Pagan, Alex Gray, Michael Padgett, and Ben Daniels. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wally Gold, Randy Hasty, Chip Johnson, Jay Jackson, Robin Davis, John Wright, Brandon Kennedy, and Lee Armour.

Michael was born on May 21, 1975, in Augusta, Georgia to John Lewis Todd and Lynne Tipton Morris. Michael had a great love for the outdoors; whether he was hunting, fishing, or just taking a walk he was always able to find peace enjoying the simple pleasures of nature. Michael also had another love, he was a devoted Georgia Bulldog fan, and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on the Dawgs. Michael deeply loved his family and friends above all else.

Michael is survived by his wife, Rhonda Waters Todd of Warthen; daughters, Jacy Kay Todd of Warthen, and Annely Pearce Todd, of Thomson; son, John Nathaniel Todd of Edgehill; step-daughter, Haley Duggan; granddaughter, Paislee Marie Smith; parents, John Lewis Todd and his wife Gail of Mitchell, and Lynne Morris and her husband Dennis of Young Harris; special aunt and uncle, Nona and Terry Lord of Mitchell; cousins, Michael Padgett and his wife Dorothy, and Chasity Frazier and her husband Trey, all of Mitchell; and many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
