John Ashley Wood

Mr. John Ashley Wood, age 47 of Macon passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023.

Mr. Wood was the son of the late Charles David Wood and Judy Parker Wood. He was born in Dublin and lived and worked in Sandersville as well as Macon. Mr. Wood was a licensed cosmetologist and was currently working with Marshal Lumber Company, and in his free time, he liked to fish. Mr. Wood was a people person who never met a stranger. He was a loving father, son, and brother. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Barbara Wood, and Ben Jr. and Jackie S. Parker.

Mr. Wood is survived by his daughter, Kaden Wood of Douglas; mother, Judy Parker Wood; brother, Benjamin Harold Wood of Sandersville; sister, Kelly Lynne Bolyard of Rincon; aunts, Vann Parker Kitchens and her husband Allen of Wrightsville, and Jennifer Parker Hawkins and her husband Glenn of Warthen; and many cousins, family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Mr. Wood’s memory to the Wood Family Support Fund, P.O. Box 1016, Sandersville, GA 31082.
