John Ralph Woods

Mr. John Ralph Woods, age 57, of Sandersville, died Monday, March 19, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00am at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Brownwood Cemetery. The Rev. Burt Parker will officiate. Pallbearers will be Tim Werkin, Billy Smith, Caleb Lord, George Lord, Lamar Helton, Travis Durden, Wesley Sheppard and Brett Hendrix.

Ralph was born in Baldwin County the son of the late Ralph Duggan Woods. He was retired from Thiele Kaolin Company as a laboratory technician working in the quality control lab. Ralph was a member of Sisters Baptist Church and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors are his wife, Pam Carter Woods, sons, Jonathan Duggan Woods and Kristopher Kyle Woods (Sherrie), granddaughters, Karlee and Morgan Woods, his mother, Ellen T. Woods Gunby and his brother Darryl Woods all of Sandersville.

The family will be at the Woods residence on New Road, Sandersville and they will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 7pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home.
