Johnnie Carl Jackson

Mr. Johnnie Carl Jackson, age 78, of 175 Wright Lane in Sandersville died Sunday morning April 24, 2011 in the University Hospital in Augusta. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 27, in the Kendall Heights Church of God with burial in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Bobby Williford and Rev. Danny Thomas will officiate. Pallbearers will be John Wright, Cliff Wright, Cleveland Jordan, Joe Kitchens, Freddie Chapman and Billy Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Smith, Ronald Jackson, Charles Jackson, Richard Jackson, Donnie Jackson and Robbie Jackson.

Mr. Jackson was a native of Washington County, the son of the late Charlie Arthur Jackson and the late Jennie Mae Hart Jackson. He was a retired operator for Georgia Kaolin Company. Mr. Jackson was a member of the Kendall Heights Church of God and the Woodmen of the World.

Survivors are his wife, Brenda Carroll Jackson of Sandersville, a daughter, Glenda Karen Jackson of Sandersville, a son, Jay Stuart Jackson and his wife Michelle of Sandersville, three step-children, Kevin Johnson, Tal Johnson and Teresa Johnson, four grandchildren, Jonathan Robert Ford, Mollie Megan Jackson, Kyle Kent and Kaleb Kent, four step-grandchildren and a step-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday. The family suggests that donations be made to the Kendall Heights Church of God Building Fund, c/o James Norris, 5783 Highway 24 East, Sandersville, Georgia 31082.
