Jon Eston Ingram, Sr.

October 11, 1946 — January 26, 2013

Mr. Jon Eston Ingram, Sr., age 66, of 102 Springvale Road in West Point, Georgia died on Saturday, January 26, 2013 in the West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 30th, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. Rev. Don Youmans and Rev. Jeff Cook will officiate.

Mr. Ingram was born in San Diego, California. He was the husband of the late Gloria Gay Ingram. His parents were Thomas Malcolm Gray and Frances Torbert Gray and Phillip Urquhart Ingram and Nadine Torbert Ingram. He was a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Textile Manufacturing. During his college years he served as the manager of the Georgia Tech basketball team. Mr. Ingram was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War serving as a medic. He was the director of Operations for Interface FLOR, LLC in West Point. He was a member of the Tennille United Methodist Church, an avid reader and always enjoyed a good round of golf.

Survivors are: his son, Jon Eston (Jase) Ingram, Jr. and his wife Julianne of Augusta; a daughter, Carrie Ingram Burger of LaGrange; four grandchildren, Jon (Jack) Eston Ingram III, Tristan Lee Burger, Mary Frances Ingram and Devin Todd Burger; a sister, Missy Lambert and her husband Danny of Climax; three brothers, Phil Ingram and his wife Tommie Jean of Dawson, Doyle Ingram and his wife Beth of Dawson, and George Ingram of St. Simons; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:30 until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday.

The family suggests donations be made to the Tennille United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 265, Tennille, Georgia 31089 or to West Georgia Hospice, 1510 Vernon Road, LaGrange, Georgia 30240.

May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
