Joseph Allen May

Mr. Joseph Allen Summerlin May, age 31, of 231 Dickson Drive, Danielsville, Georgia died Thursday May 28 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Madison County, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday May 30 in the Tennille United Methodist Church in Tennille, Georgia with burial in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. The Rev. Peter Barlow will officiate. Pallbearers will be Chris Marx, Timothy May, Joel Ingram, Thomas Kaye, Jason Aycock, Nick Jones, John Robert Ward, Daniel May, Will Alexander, Hill Thomas and Trey Sheppard.

Mr. May was a native and life long resident of Washington County. He was the manager of the food and beverages and a chef for the Hilton Garden Hotel in Athens. He was a member of the Tennille United Methodist Church.

Survivors are his parents, Allen Lamar May, Jr and Selwyn Mayo Summerlin May of Sandersville, his grandmothers, Velma Avery May and Irene Summerlin both of Sandersville, his girl friend, Andrea Gonzalez of Athens.

The family will receive friends at their residence, 496 Transylvania Drive in Sandersville.
