Mrs. Judy Gail Chandler Kent, age 77 of South Smith Street, Sandersville passed away at Wellstar MCG on Saturday, September 6, 2025, after an extended illness. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Washington County Memorial Gardens. Reverend Wallace Smith will officiate, and Mrs. Kent’s Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kent was born in Globe, Arizona, the daughter of the late Cleston Cortez Chandler and the late Audrey Ella Parmer Chandler. She was a homemaker and a wonderful wife and mother. She was also a consultant for Avon as well as Beauty Control. Mrs. Kent enjoyed shopping on Facebook Marketplace and talking with her friends. She was an excellent singer. Mrs. Kent’s greatest joy was her family, who were her whole world. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Kent; son, Cleston Kent; grandson, Cleston Tyler Kent; and brothers, Mickey Chandler, Lindsey Chandler, Wayne Chandler, and Stan Rocket.
Mrs. Kent is survived by her daughters, Tammy Seiter of New Braunfels, TX, Christi Kent, and Amy Frazier (Ron) both of Sandersville; son, Robbie Kent (Bethany) of Detroit, MI; daughter-in-law, Leanne Kent of Sandersville; grandchildren, Lindsey Smith, Jamie Brindell (Kayla), Kristalei Brown, Chris Hammerschmidt, Sierra Randolph (Dallas), Petra McClain (Nick), Austin Kent (Regina), Chandler Steadman (Dylan), Charlie Seiter, Audrey Caldwell, Connor Frazier, Preston Kent, Corrie Frazier, Jeremy Kent, and Jacob Caldwell; great grandchildren, Jade Smith, Raylei Brown, Cohen Raulerson, Legend Saxton, Jordan Lindsey, Harlow House, Harper Brindell, Devin Steadman, Dorian McClain, Bradley Thompson, Braylyn Palmer, and Ellie Randolph; and step-brother, Rocky Rocket.
The family suggests donations be made in Mrs. Kent’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
