Julia Crook Baugus

Mrs. Julia Crook Baugus, age 88, of 440 Warthen Street in Sandersville died Tuesday May 20 in the Extended Care Facility in Sandersville.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday May 23 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. The Rev. Bobby Williford and Rev. J. Emory Lindsey will officiate with burial in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille.

Pallbearers will be Mike Baugus, Keith Todd, Matthew Todd, Harold Baugus, Jr., Arlin Brown, Glen Johnson and Tim Truelove.

Mrs. Baugus was a native of Lincoln County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Jim Crook and the late Orlena Martin Crook. She was a homemaker and a wonderful baker. Mrs. Baugus was a member of the Good Shepherd Church of the Nazarene. She was predeceased by a son, Marvin Baugus.

Survivors are her children, Freddie (Lyndel) Baugus of Dublin, Harold (Lucile) Baugus of Milledgeville, Shirley (James) Buttersworth of Wrightsville and Cathy (Jimmy) Lord of Sandersville, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday evening.
