Julian Thomas Veal, Jr.

Mr. Julian Thomas “Tommy” Veal, Jr., age 82, of Deepstep, died on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, in the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville following an extended illness. A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, October, 1st at 2:00 p.m. at Deepstep United Methodist Church Cemetery. Reverend Larry Giles will officiate.

Mr. Veal was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late Julian T. Veal Sr. and the late Tillie Cox Veal. Tommy served his country in the US Army in Korea. He was a retired farmer and a member of Deepstep United Methodist Church. He is predeceased by his sister Dorothy Veal Martin and nephew Richard Lane Smith.

Survivors include; his sister, Marjorie V. Smith of Milledgeville; nephew, Robert T. Smith of Deepstep; niece Jean M. Gross of Tampa, FL.

The family suggest donations be made to the Deepstep United Methodist Church, c/o Stacey Brown, 97 Club Forest Drive, Tennille, GA. 31089.
