Mr. Julius Stephen Waller, age 88, of Sandersville died on Monday evening March 9 in the Heritage Inn of Sandersville.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 13, 2015 in the Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church near Tennille with burial in the church cemetery. Elder Kenneth Brantley will officiate. Pallbearers will be Billy Brantley, Lynn Brantley, David Brantley, David Jones, Shayne Woods, and Sam Prince.
Mr. Waller was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late Horace Waller and the late Anna Belle Brantley Waller. He was the husband of the late Thena Tanner Waller. Mr. Waller was a member of the Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Waller was a breeder of fox hounds and his passion was fox hunting and Washington County Golden Hawks Basketball. He was a charter member of the Duck Roost Hunting Club.
Survivors are his niece and caregiver, Vicki Weller Brennan of Sandersville and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church one hour prior to service time.
