June Hutcheson Bussell Tompkins

Mrs. June Hutcheson Bussell Tompkins, age 79, of Sandersville, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the Washington County Extended Care Facility. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 3rd at 11:00am at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Washington County Memorial Gardens. Rev. Griffin Thompson and Rev. Roger Holley will officiate. Pallbearers will be Eric Collier, Cody Collier, Dwayne Grant, Tommy Grant, David Smith and Scott Thompson.

Mrs. Tompkins was born in Johnson County the daughter of the late Frank Hutcheson and the late Grace Holmes Hutcheson. She retired from the Farmers Home Administration after 3o years of service. In retirement, Mrs. Tompkins also worked for the Washington County Tax Commissioner and Doctors Bolnick and Earl Taylor’s offices. Mrs. Tompkins attended both the Jackson’s Baptist Church and the Sandersville United Methodist Church. She is predeceased by her husbands Walter Green Bussell and Lewis Tompkins.

Survivors are; her children, Beverly Collier (Larry) and Walter Glenn Bussell, grandchildren Eric Collier(Jennifer) and Cody Collier (Hilary), great grandchildren Abigail Nicole Collier, Madison Avery Collier, Alyssa June Collier, Caylee Grace Collier and Christian Jay Collier all of Sandersville and her sister Sarah Grant (Tommy) of Snellville.

The family will be at the Collier residence 5976 Hwy. 242, Sandersville and will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
