June Jackson Hilliard

Mrs. June Jackson Hilliard, age 55, of Sandersville, died Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the University Hospital in Augusta. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 18th at 2:00pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Brownwood Cemetery. Rev. J. Emory Lindsey and Rev. Tom Harrison will officiate. Pallbearers will be Brandon Wilkes, Chad Clark, Hylos Barrett, Mike Lewis, Tim Beal, Benjie Amerson, Kevin Helton, Craige Hilliard, and Charlie Brown.

Mrs. Hilliard was a native and life long resident of Washington County the daughter of E.W. “Jack” Jackson Jr. and the late Sarah Kennedy Jackson. She was a homemaker and a former employee with the Georgia Department of Corrections.

Survivors are her husband J.W. Hilliard Jr. of Sandersville, children, Jess W. Hilliard III of Warthen, Jack W. Hilliard Sr. (Jennifer) of Sandersville and Leigh H. Barrett (Hylos) of Acworth, grandchildren, Grayson Hilliard, Abby Hilliard, Dalton Hilliard, Sydney Barrett and Jack Hilliard Jr., her father E.W. “Jack” Jackson Jr. of Sandersville, sisters Kathy Jackson and Jean J. Tanner both of Sandersville, her brother Ken Jackson of Tennille and nieces and nephews.

The family will be at the residence of Kathy Jackson Washington Ave. Sandersville, and will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home.
