Karen Ann Gibbs

Ms. Karen Ann Gibbs, age 66, of Holmes Cannery Road, Sandersville, passed away peacefully at her home, April 17, 2023 surrounded by her family.  A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, April 20 ^th at 1:00 p.m. at Bethel Methodist Church on Hwy. 57, Wrightsville.  Reverend Brant Kennedy and Reverend John Walker will officiate.  Karen's family will receive friends from 12 noon until the hour of service at the church.

Karen was born and reared in San Diego California by the late Harvey Rose and the late Betty W. Rose.  She graduated high school and began her working career in medical administration prior to relocating to Washington County Georgia in 1993.  Karen worked as a media specialist for Washington County High School from which she retired.  She was an active member of the Arline-Bethel Methodist church where she formerly taught Sunday School, as well as led a grief support group and was a member of the church bible study.  In spare time, Karen loved to read.  She is predeceased by her husband, Richard Ralph Gibbs.

Survivors include her children, Jake Rose (Kim) of Harrison and Nicole Rose (Brice Marshall) of Sandersville; grandchildren, Kylie Floyd, Renner Rose, Cole Marshall, Hunter Marshall and Carmen Marshall; and her sister, Lori Vaneepoel of Safety Harbor, FL.
