Karen Kicklighter Renfroe, 65, of Sandersville, GA, passed away peacefully of natural causes on February 28, 2024, at Augusta University Hospital. She was born on August 3, 1958, in Sandersville, GA, to Dwight Kicklighter and Betty Banks Kicklighter.
Karen lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication, marked by her passion for spending quality time with her beloved grandchildren, Tinley Anne and Madi Grace. She graduated from Georgia College and went on to serve the community as a devoted Washington County School Teacher until her retirement.
Known for her warm smile and generous heart, Karen's presence was a comfort and joy to those around her. Her commitment to her family, friends and community left a lasting impact that will be remembered by all who knew her.
Karen is survived by her siblings, Glenn Kicklighter, Connie (Allen) Veal, and Pam (Stacer) Helton; her son, Lucas Renfroe; and her cherished grandchildren, Tinley Renfroe and Madison Renfroe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight Kicklighter and Betty Banks Kicklighter, and her brother, Stephen Kicklighter.
A Celebration of Life for Karen will be held at 2:00 p.m. March 10, 2024 at The Pringle Building. The family invites friends, family, former students, and colleagues to join them in remembering and celebrating Karen's remarkable life and legacy.
