Kathryn "Katie" Elizabeth Steele Bentley Guthrie

Kathryn Elizabeth Steele Bentley Guthrie, “Katie”, age 24, of Deepstep, died Wednesday, July 15, 2015. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the Deepstep United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the Church Social Hall. Reverend Jason McClendon and Reverend Larry Giles will officiate.

Katie was born in St. Petersburg Florida and was reared in both Florida and in Washington County where she graduated high school. She was a lover of animals, often participating in their rescue and rehabilitation. She cherished her family, especially her husband Chris and their son William who became her heart and soul. Katie was a member of the Deepstep United Methodist Church and often attended Victory Central. She will be desperately missed by family and friends.

Survivors are: her husband, Chris Guthrie; son, William Christopher Guthrie; her parents, Curtis Bentley and Susan Steele; and her grandmother, Rita Steele all of Deepstep.
