Kelli Bickham Wiggins

April 13, 1963 — May 9, 2025

Sandersville

Mrs. Kelli Bickham Wiggins, age 62, of North Linton Forest Drive, Sandersville, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at First Christian Church of Sandersville, with Reverend Matthew Arnold and Mrs. Layne Kitchens officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home.

Kelli was born in Sandersville, the daughter of the late Dr. Robert Ogelsby Bickham, Sr. and the late Edna “Billie” Lowery Bickham. She attended Middle Georgia College and Georgia Southern College, graduating with a degree in Psychology.  She then obtained a Nursing degree from Athens Technical College.  Kelli began her nursing career as a cardiac critical care nurse at Athens Regional Hospital.  She returned to Sandersville in 1995 and began a long career at Washington County Regional Medical Center.  At various times, her roles there included Director of ICU, Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation, and manager of the oncology clinic.  Kelli was always willing to lend a hand, and performed many other duties as she was needed at the hospital.  Kelli had excellent medical skills, but it was her compassionate, upbeat nature that endeared her to her patients, colleagues, and friends. To know Kelli was to love her!  While our grief is great, we take comfort in knowing she is secure in heaven, and that we will be together again.

Kelli was a member of First Christian Church of Sandersville, where she served as a deacon and enjoyed helping with the Bread of Life ministry. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, James Kelly Bickham.

Kelli is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Stan Wiggins; sons, Bickham “Bick” Wayne Wiggins and Wilson “Will” Clyne Wiggins, both of Milledgeville; siblings, Mimi B. Kicklighter (Roger), Robert “Bobby” O. Bickham, Jr., and James “Jim” E. Bickham; sisters-in-law, Lyn W. Wright, Donna W. McNair, and Kay G. Wiggins; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Kelli’s memory to First Christian Church of Sandersville Capital Account, P.O. Box 45, Sandersville, GA 31082, or to the donor’s charity of choice.
