Ken Jackson

Ken Jackson, age 71, of Deepcut Road, Tennille, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at an Augusta Hospital.  A funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, June 14th at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, with burial in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville.  Reverend Andy Yates will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Chet Smith, Eddie Barksdale, John Brooker, Sr., Barry Shurling, Jimmy Lewis, Richie Acock, and Benjie Hodges.   Ken's family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church.

Warren Kennedy Jackson was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late E.W. "Jack" Jackson and the late Sarah Kennedy Jackson.  He graduated from Washington County High School and began a 50 year career in the Kaolin Industry as an electrician.  Ken started his work with AICC and retired from Imerys.  He possessed a lifetime love for animals, especially his dogs and cats.  Ken enjoyed spending time on his family farm.  He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved food.  In addition to his parents, Ken is predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law June J. and J.W. Hilliard.

Survivors include his sisters, Kathy Jackson and Jean J. Tanner both of Sandersville and nephews and niece, Jess Hilliard, Jack Hilliard and his wife Jennifer and Brooke Tanner.
