Mr. Kenneth Wayne Annabel, Sr., age 81, of Warthen, died Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Heritage Inn Nursing Home in Sandersville following an extended illness. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 22nd, at 2:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Warthen. The Reverend Tim Powell will officiate. Pallbearers will be Nic Griffith, Eugene Griffith, Ramsey Grant, Darrell Smith, Billy Rubert, and Matthew Yates.
Mr. Annabel was born in Wayne County Michigan, the son of the late Roy Harvey Annabel, Sr. and the late Fern Elizabeth Bordine Annabel. He spent a 47 year working career as a truck driver retiring from B-H Transfer Company. Ken enjoyed hunting and loved to do mechanic work in his personal shop. He is predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Ernie Morman; and his brother and sister-in-law, Roy Jr. and Lois Annabel.
Survivors include, his wife Diane Teachout Annabel of Warthen; children, Rose A. Edgar and Ruth A. Rinaldi both of Carpentersville, IL, Robert Wayne Annabel and his wife Kathy of Munith MI, Tina A. Smith and her husband Hugh of Harrison, Kenny W. Annabel, Jr. and his wife Deborah and Brenda A. Smith and her husband Darrell all of Warthen, Donna A. Holder of Colorado Springs CO, and Melissa A. Thompson and her husband Jack of Adrian; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and his sister Donna A. Morales and her husband Jim of Florida.
The family will be at the Annabel residence on Hamburg State Park Road and they will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
