Kenneth Emory Irwin

Mr. Kenneth Emory Irwin, age 61, of Atlanta, died January 13, 2017, following an extended illness. A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 12 noon at Piney Mount United Methodist Church Cemetery in Washington County. Reverend Mike Bankston will officiate.

Mr. Irwin was born in Stuttgart Germany, the son of the late Emory Irwin and the late Mildred Ivey Irwin. He was a long time resident of Atlanta, where he worked as an administrator in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. Ken was a sports car enthusiast and was an active member of the Sports Car Club of America. He enjoyed officiating at various racing events. He was also proud of his Scottish heritage and participated in numerous Scottish festivals.

Mr. Irwin is survived by a brother, James A. Irwin of Atlanta and numerous friends and extended family.
