Kenneth Mitchell Register

Kenneth Mitchell Register, age 67, Greenwood, S.C., formerly of Sandersville, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2023.   A graveside memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, May 19 ^th at 2:00 p.m. in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille.  Rev. Richard Staveley will officiate.

Ken was reared in Washington County the son of the late Walter D. Register and the late Frances Strickland Register.  Following school, he began a lifelong career as a mechanic working for Childre Chevrolet and Childre Ford in Sandersville.  Ken later worked for John Deere in Milledgeville prior to moving to Greenwood to be near family.   He loved to build race cars and was a racecar and Georgia Bulldog fan.  Ken also loved to fish.

Survivors include, his wife Barbara Pounds Register of Greenwood, S.C.; daughter, Betty Frances Hart Zog and her husband Wiley; stepchildren, Julia Nichole Pruiskma and her husband Steven and Steven Michael Leady and his wife Mindy; seven grandchildren; and siblings, Tommy Register, Tim Register, Walter Register, Jr., Nacey Tingle and Chris Register.
