L J Moye Iii

Mr. L. J. Moye III, "John", age 83, of Davisboro, died on Sunday, December 23, 2018, in a Louisville hospital following an extended illness. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 26 in New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery. Reverend Chad Watkins and Reverend Ron Dixon will officiate.

Mr. Moye was a native of Washington County, the son of the late Lonnie J. Moye, Jr. and the late Eulawynn Raley Moye. He was the husband of the late Barbara Carol Lewis Moye. Mr. Moye had resided in Washington County for many years and was a member of  New Hope United Methodist Church. He had served in the United States Army.

Survivors are his daughter, Melanie Moye of Milledgeville; sons, John Wesley Moye and his wife Jan of Dublin and Richard Moye and his wife Teresa of Davisboro;  grandchildren, Ashley Moye Shoemake, Wesley Moye, Katy Moye and Cole Moye; brothers, Jim Moye , Sr. of Atlanta and Frank Moye of Sandersville.

The family will receive friends at the social hall of  New Hope United Methodist from 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday until the hour of service at 2:00 P.M.

The family suggest donations be made to  New Hope United Methodist Church, 6428 Heards Bridge , Bartow, Georgia 30413.
