Larry Johnson

Mr. Larry Johnson, age 61, of Tennille passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at his residence.  A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 16th at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church on County Line Road in Washington County.

Larry was born in Milledgeville and reared in Sparta, where he attended school and lived for much of his life.  He was long time employee of Hill Farm Supply in Sparta until he moved to Tennille in the early 90's.  He formerly worked for Utilicon, Beasly Forest Products, and was currently working for Raymond Pounds Tree Service. Larry loved watching football and wrestling. He is predeceased by his wife, Dena Gay Johnson.

Survivors include his brother, Billy Stephens and his wife Anne of Jones County; sister, Carolyn Stephens of Sparta; children, Kimberly Meeks of Warner Robins, Joey Skinner of Tennille and Chris Skinner of Jones County; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
