Larry Jay Lanthrip

Mr. Larry Jay Lanthrip, age 62, of 51 South Anderson Drive in Sandersville died Friday morning July 16 in the Oconee Health Care following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday July 18 in the Kendall Heights Church of God. The Rev. Bobby Williford, Rev. Fred Garrett and Rev. Bobby Farmer will officiate with burial in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille.

Mr. Lanthrip was a native and life long resident of Washington County, the son of the late Marlie J. Lanthrip, Sr. and the late Mattie Lizzie Sellars Lanthrip. He was the husband of the late Wanda Pulliam Lanthrip. Mr. Lanthrip was a retired truck driver. He was a former member of the C B Radio Club and a member of the Kendall Heights Church of God. He was predeceased by a sister, Linda Dale Lanthrip Davis.

Survivors are his three sons, Thomas E. Lanthrip of Sandersville, Chris W. Lanthrip of Davisboro and James Willie (Tonya Ann) Lanthrip of Harrison, six grandchildren, Cassie Jackson, Nicholas (Cole) Lanthrip, Autumn Lanthrip, Tori Lanthrip, Triston Lanthrip and Penelope Faith Lanthrip, four sisters, Connie Sue Usry, Pat Baucom, Betty Jean Williford and Elaine Lanthrip all of Sandersville, a brother, Marlie J. Lanthrip, Jr. of Sandersville.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Saturday.
