Mr. Larry Wade Thompson, age 63, of Harrison, died Thursday, May 12, 2016, at his residence. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 14th, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kendall Heights Church of God. Reverends Bobby Williford, Reverend Fred Morrison and Reverend Jerry Brett will officiate.
Mr. Thompson was born in Richmond County. He was a carpenter by trade and used his carpentry skills as a volunteer for Oconee Outreach. Larry also volunteered with the Grace Baptist Prison Ministry, and he loved to hunt and fish. He is predeceased by his mother, Eleanora Crook Thompson, and sons, Kevin Thompson and Wade Thompson.
Survivors are: his wife, Patsy Sanders Thompson of Harrison; children, Jamie Thompson and his wife Jill of Riddleville, Tabitha T. Biggins of Tennille, and Eric Thompson and his wife Christy of Riddleville; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; his father and step-mother, Earl and Sandy Thompson of Tennille; his sister, Lynda T. Graham and her husband Freddie; and his brother, Tony Thompson.
The family will be at the Thompson residence on New Tennille Road and they will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the memorial service at the church.
