Lenard Helton Joiner

Mr. Lenard Helton Joiner, age 78, of Wrightsville passed away peacefully to his home in heaven on Monday, October 27, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 30th, at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Reverend Scott Osborne and Reverend Chad Waller will officiate with burial in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Howell, Tommy Bateman, Sr., Tommy Bateman, Jr., Jacob Waller, Jimmy Joiner, Wesley Hickman and Jay Strickland.

Mr. Joiner was a native of Johnson County, Georgia, the son of the late Charlie Joiner and the late Clyde Deal Joiner. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Ina Jean Page Joiner, a sister, Shirley Jean Joiner Veal and a brother, Claude Deal Joiner. Lenard and Ina Jean lived in Macon for many years prior to moving back to Wrightsville. Mr. Joiner was a salesman at heart having worked for RC Bottling Company, Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company and Cedar Creek Hams. He was a partner in Joiner Heating and Air, a former owner of the Feed Mill in Sandersville and also an avid farmer. Mr. Joiner grew up in the Bethany Baptist Church. Later in life he and Ina Jean became members of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors are his daughter, Cindy Joiner Waller and her husband Gary of Wrightsville, a son, Bruce Lenard Joiner and his wife Tracy of Macon; two step grandchildren, Jacob Waller and Jenna Waller; two sisters, Grace Virginia Joiner Garrett of Warner Robins and Nell Joiner Griffall of Wrightsville; two brothers, Charles Joiner and his wife Glenda of Statesboro and Rufus Joiner and his wife Dee Ann of Cumming; a sister-in-law, Grace Price Joiner of Macon; and a brother-in-law, Delmer Veal of Eastman.

The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. on Thursday until the hour of service.
