Leroy Joshua Taylor

Mr. LeRoy Joshua “Bill “ Taylor, age 71, of 307 McNeely Street in Davisboro, Georgia died Thursday November 27 at his residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday December 1 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. The Rev. Samuel Loyd will officiate with burial in the Davisboro Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gabby Loyd, Billy Savage, Scott Askew, Todd Taylor, Donnie Rogers and Mark Atkinson.

Mr. Taylor was a native of Bibb County, Georgia, the son of the late Turner Joshua Taylor and the late Martha Lovella Whitten Taylor. He was a general contractor. Mr. Taylor was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Survivors are his wife, Patricia Louise Arnold Taylor of Davisboro, his children, Billy Gregory Taylor of Gray, Penny Louise Rogers of Gordon, Beverly Diane Savage of Lizella, Cindy Denise Loyd of Macon and Valerie Jean Askew of Waynesboro, eight grandchildren, Billy Taylor, Todd Taylor, Amanda Rogers, Aaron Rogers, John Taylor Atkinson, Ashley Atkinson, Emily Atkinson and Lindsey Cannon, a great grandson, Dillon Cutter Askew, a brother, Jimmy Hudson of Leesburg, Fla.

Visitation will be Sunday November 30 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
