Lila Lingold Jackson

Mrs. Lila Lingold Jackson of Sandersville, died Monday, November 15, 2010 at the Washington County Extended Care Facility. Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00am at the Harrison Baptist Church Cemetery in Harrison. Rev. Bill Black will officiate. Pallbearers will be Blake Daniel, Chris Daniel, Ben Jackson, Jonathan Jackson, Jeremy Jackson and Lee Wilkes.

Mrs. Jackson was born in Putnam County the daughter of the late William Thomas Lingold and the late Mary Matthews Lingold. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Sandersville where she was a former nursery teacher. She and her husband Ben enjoyed a great love of square dancing and were former members of square dance clubs in Sandersville, Milledgeville, Dublin and Warrenton. Mrs. Jackson is predeceased by her husband Ben F. Jackson.

Survivors are her sons, Jimmy L. Jackson of Sandersville, and Greg Jackson of Macon, grandchildren, Jonathan Jackson (Samille) and Jeremy Jackson (Crystal) both of McIntyre, great grandchildren, Allie Jackson, Anna Jackson, Brandon Jackson, Brittany Jackson and Jordan Jackson and her sister Lee Vierra (Walt) of San Diego, CA.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 to 7pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home.
