Linda was born February 5, 1946, to the late Andrew and Annie Laura Burgamy. She is survived by her siblings, Barbara Ann Channell (Herman), and Charles “Duck” Burgamy (Faye) of Warthen; her nieces and nephews, Eric Channell (Kerri), Dan Channell (Vanessa), Wesley Channell (April), Dawn Burgamy Brown (Tony), Lisa Channell. Also surviving are her great-nieces and nephews, Matthew and Houston Channell, Maci and Madison Brown, Harley Lawson (Will) and ToriBeth Sheram; and one great-great-nephew, Asher Lawson. Linda was a devoted aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Linda spent most of her adult life in her beloved Alaska. She was a civil service veteran and spent four years in the Air Force, and was stationed in Germany, where she developed a love of castles and visited many. She started her service at Fort Benning, Georgia, and also lived in California, Germany, and New Jersey, before settling at Fort Eielson Air Force Base in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Linda’s true passion was her dogs; over the years she owned five special Poodles and several Yorkies who were her constant companions. Because of her love for animals and their welfare, she owned a kennel for cats and dogs when she lived in Alaska.

Linda was an avid reader and especially enjoyed history and historical fiction. She also loved classic country music, and had a large collection of tapes, CD’s, and DVD’s.

In lieu of flowers, she requested that donations be made in her memory to: The American Humane Society, 1400 16th Street NW, Suite 360, Washington, DC, 20036
