Linda Rosemary Oliver Mcneill

Ms. Linda Rosemary Oliver McNeill, age 79, of Tennille, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2024, following an extended illness.  A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, July 28th at 1:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Directors Chapel.  Pastor Kenneth Rogers will officiate.  Ms. McNeill's family will receive friends following the service, also at the funeral home.

Linda Rosemary Oliver was born and reared, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late James Oliver and the late Mattie Gantt Oliver.  She began her working career at an early age as a cook and waitress, at a local restaurant.  After marriage, she worked at home to provide a loving and stable environment for her children.  Later in life, she transitioned into retail customer service and retired from Bloomingdales, after a long and prosperous career.  While in Philadelphia, she attended Zion Baptist Church.  The love of her life became her grandchildren which led her, in 2009 to leave the only state she called home and relocate to Washington County, Georgia to be near them.  She was later blessed with great-grandchildren, whom she also adored. Linda became an active member of True Love Christian Ministries in Sandersville.  She served as mother of the church, church treasurer and Pastor's aid.  Ms. McNeill will be truly missed by her family and many friends.  Linda will most be remembered for her love of God and her family.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Angelina Rogers and her husband Kenneth of Tennille, Stanley McNeill of Colorado Springs, CO., and Jeffrey McNeill and his wife Andrea of Queens, NY.; grandchildren, Christina Melody Haynes and her husband Isaac and Jasmine Symphony Rogers; great grandchildren, Genesis Faith Haynes, Kaiya Harmoni Justice and Noah Grace Haynes; and siblings, Nathaniel Oliver and his wife Sharon of New Jersey, Joseph Oliver and his wife Mary and Joanne Oliver all of Pennsylvania.
