Linda Smith Phillips

Mrs. Linda Smith Phillips, age 66, of Sandersville, died Thursday, December 12, 2013. Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14th, at 2:00 p.m. at the Union Baptist Church Cemetery near Warthen. The Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate.

Mrs. Phillips was born in Hancock County the daughter of the late Delma Smith and the late Agnes Garner Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of the Union Baptist Church. Linda was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Survivors are her husband, David S. Phillips, Sr. of Sandersville; children, Delma Smith and his wife Michelle of Washington PA, Darlene Martin and her husband Ellis of Davisboro, David Phillips, Jr. of Tyler TX, Eva Duncan and her husband Lee of Augusta and Chris Phillips of Sandersville; grandchildren, Michael Corbin, Gabby Bussell, Tyler Phillips, Megan Phillips, E.J. Martin, Elijah Phillips and Ethan Martin; her brother, Delma Smith, Jr. and his wife Peggy of Thomson; and her sister, Betty S. Cheely of Davisboro.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 7pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
