Lonnie Lamar Yates

Mr. Lonnie Lamar Yates, age 36 of Sandersville died on Monday, June 1, 2015. Funeral services for Mr. Yates will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 6th, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in the Rutherford Cemetery near Oconee. Reverend Andy Yates and Reverend Lamar Godfrey will officiate.

Mr. Yates was a native of Washington County, the son of the late Alice Faye Watts Yates. He was a construction worker for Yates Construction Company.

Survivors are his wife, Michelle Chapman Yates of Gibson; a daughter, Kaylan Yates; two sons, Trevor Palmer and Dorian Yates; his father, Wayne Yates of Sandersville; three sisters, Tammy Kitchens of Atlanta, Beth Harper of Gray and Elizabeth Gail Yates of Milledgeville; three brothers, Ronald Mills of Wadley, Buford Wayne Yates, Jr. of Greensboro and Brandon Yates of Tennille.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Friday.
