Loretha Akins Thiele

Loretha Akins Thiele, 69, of Nashville, died Sunday, November 4, 2018 at South Georgia Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 3 PM at Nashville United Methodist Church with Reverend Don Bridges officiating. A reception will be held in Garner Hall following the service. Interment will be Friday, November 9, 2018 at 12 noon at Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville, GA. A reception will follow at Tennille United Methodist Church. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville, Ga from 6 to 8 PM.

Mrs. Thiele was born March 25, 1949 in Lowndes County, to the late Alton Barney Akins and the late Lucile Parrish Akins. She was a homemaker, a Georgia Patron of the Arts, and a member of Community United Methodist Church. She is preceded by her husband, Paul Frederick Thiele.

She is survived by her sister Linda (Wyman) Butler of Nashville; brothers, Parrish (Sara) Akins of Nashville and Steve Akins (Mark Gillespie) of Atlanta; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
