Louise Fowler Chambers

Mrs. Louise Fowler Chambers, age 78, of Chambers Brook Spring Road, Sandersville, died Thursday, September 19, 2013, at the Washington County Extended Care Facility following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 22nd, at 3:00 P.M. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Washington County Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jimmy Harris and Rev. Larry Giles will officiate. Pallbearers will be Chris Chambers, Jeff Chambers, Al Denton, Scott Mathews, Ron Chambers, Al Peeler and Randy Veal.

Mrs. Chambers was born in Warren County the daughter of the late Robert McCarter Fowler and the late Angie Rose Hall Fowler. She was a homemaker and always active within her church. She was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and choir member. Mrs. Chambers also worked as a former volunteer for the Washington County Historical Society and possessed a lifelong love for music.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Lee “Bobby” Chambers of Sandersville; daughters, Angie Lynn C. Murgas and her husband Pete of Snellville, Cheryl C. McGilton and her husband Pat of Picayune MS, Beth C. Hall and her husband Michael of Ball Ground and Lisa C. Berry and her husband Steve of Milledgeville; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the Chambers residence of Chambers Brook Springs Road; and they will receive friends at the May & Smith Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 P.M. until the hour of service.
