Mrs. Louise Fowler Cook, age 99, of Tennille died Thursday morning, August 1, 2013 in the Extended Care Facility following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 3rd, in the Tennille United Methodist Church with burial in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Reverend Jeff Cook and Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate. Pallbearers will be Michael Cook, Tyler Cook, Joshua Cook, Allen Cook, Scotty Cook, Andrew Cook, Jack Cook and Tim Fowler.
Mrs. Cook was a native of Johnson County, and lived in Washington County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Fowler and the late Vessie Tompkins Fowler. She was the wife of the late Jessie James Cook. Mrs. Cook was predeceased by a son, Owen Jackson Cook and a great-grandson, Charles Lee Cook. She was the retired owner of the Lou Ann Clothing Store and a talented seamstress. She was a homemaker and known for her expert cooking. Mrs. Cook was a member of the Tennille United Methodist Church, the Annie Lou Hodges Circle and the Tennille Woman’s Club.
Survivors are a son, Talmadge Lee Cook and his wife Ann of Tennille; a daughter-in-law, Melinda Miller Cook of Atlanta; grandchildren, Michael Lee Cook, James Allen Cook, Scott Miller Cook, Owen Jackson Cook, Jr., and Andrew Morrissette Cook, great-grandchildren, Brandy Nicole Cook, Joshua Allen Cook, James Tyler Cook, Christian Cook, Dillon Cook, Jessica Louise Cook, Carson Cook, Emily Cook and Rose Cook, and a great-great-granddaughter, Trista Lankford.
