Louise Franks Newman

Mrs. Louise Franks Newman, age 96, of Sandersville, died Saturday June 18, 2011 at the Oconee Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 21st at 2:00pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. Rev. Dale Andrews will officiate.

Mrs. Newman was a native of Washington County the daughter of the late Ivey Franks and the late Elizabeth Cox Franks. She was retired as a nurse at central state hospital and a member of the Olive Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Newman is predeceased by her husband Mark Newman.

Survivors are her daughter Elizabeth Emolene Traugh (Neale), granddaughters Elizabeth T. Brown (Michael) of Buford and Diana T. Hall (Wallace) of Bonneau SC., and a great grandson Alexander Neale Brown also of Buford.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
