Lucille Renfroe Brooks

Mrs. Lucille Renfroe Brooks, age 90, of Davisboro, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 19th at 2:00pm at the Davisboro United Methodist Church with burial in the Davisboro Cemetery. Rev. Chad Watkins and Rev. Carol Renfroe will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dewey Holton, Danny Brooks, Jeff Coleman, Mike Raughton, Angeli Brooks, and Keith Stovall.

Mrs. Brooks was born in Washington County the daughter of the late Turner R. Renfroe and the late Mattie Davis Renfroe. Along with her husband, Mrs. Brooks was the former co-owner/operator of Brooks Service Station and Grocery in Davisboro and she was a homemaker as well. Mrs. Brooks was a member of the Davisboro United Methodist Church and is predeceased by her husband Charles Arthur Brooks.

Survivors are; her children, Charles Wayne Brooks (Lynne) of Dublin and Marie B. Brantley (Tony) of Davisboro, grandchildren Nikki B. Raughton (Mike), Kendra Cobb Lanthrip, Charles J. Brooks, Aaron P. Prince and Chris W. Brooks and seven great grandchildren.

The family will be at the residence of Marie and Tony Brantley, 655 S. Main Street Davisboro and will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home.
