Lucille Henderson Usry Fordham

Mrs. Lucille Henderson Usry Fordham, age 80, of Sandersville, died on May 20, 2015. A funeral service will be held at White Oak Church on Saturday, May 23rd at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Gregg Usry and Reverend Dewey Henderson officiating.

Mrs. Fordham, who was affectionately known as Miss Lou and Biddy, was born in Jefferson County, the daughter of the late George L. Henderson and the late Anna Lucille Saunders Henderson. She came to know the Lord in 1972 and lived for the Lord the rest of her life. She retired from the Civil Service at Ft. Stewart and in retirement, worked for various Christian Ministries. After moving to Washington County, she became an active member of the White Oak Church where she served as a Bible Teacher, a beloved Sunday School Teacher and Missions Director. She was also employed at the Washington County Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Fordham is predeceased by her husbands, Darrell Lee Usry, Sr. and Bobby G. Fordham; her son, Darrell Lee Usry, Jr.; and her brother, George Emory Henderson.

Survivors are her children, Gregg Usry and his wife Miriam of Claxton, David Usry and his wife Carrie and Becky Usry Haller and her husband Bruce all of Sandersville; her daughter-in-law, Juli Usry McDaniel; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Dewey Henderson and his wife Jean also of Sandersville.

The family will be at the home of David and Carrie Usry, on South Anderson Drive in Sandersville, and they will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m. at the White Oak Church.
